Mr. Schicks Absence 1
Today in class, Mr. Schick was at a wedding in Maine. Some lady came in and watched us as she showed us a video. It was about the population pyramid in three different countries, Japan, Canada, and another country that I cannot remember. Most of the day we just sat here and looked at the things she told us to look at on the computer.

Test Review
In class today we went over how we did on our test. I got a 76% on it, and realized I made some pretty stupid mistakes I could've avoided.

Test
Today in class, we took a test. Overall, I don't think I did too bad. I don't think i failed it but I don't believe I aced it. Some of the writing response questions were pretty easy. On the multiple choice there were a few hard ones, but they were only hard because I didn't study. All in all, the test was alright.

9-13-14
Today in class we talked about globalization and americanization. Globalization is the process of international interrogation arising from the interchange of world views, products, ideas, and other aspects of culture. Americanization is the influence the United States has on the culture of other countries, such as their popular culture, cuisine, technology, business practices, or political techniques. Mr. Schick was getting aggravated in class because of the kids sitting in the corner talking all the time.

Technological Advancement
Today in class we talked about how much technology has advanced over the last century. Back in the late 80's, cell phones came out, but they were nowhere near as advanced as they are today. You had to hook some box up to your side and talk on the big old speaker. Music was another topic discussed. Back in the day you had to buy records and a record player to listen to music, now all you have to do is go to iTunes and download the music. The iPod is a lot smaller than a record player, but has a whole lot of download space on it.

Class Democracy
Today in class, we had a democracy. We voted wether to get assigned seats or to stay in the same seats that Mr. Schick assigned to us. A few people stood up in front of the classroom and debated their reasons as to why they believed we should or shouldn't pick assigned seats. To my surprise Mr. Schick actually let us pick our own seats when we won. I honestly thought he would psych us out and say sorry were still in these seats.

5 Point Action Plan
1. I will organize my stuff so that I can get to class on time, and not get confused as to what I need for each class, such as which binders and books I need for each class and that I have all the writing utensils needed for each class.
2. I need to attend school on time each day. Not showing up to school could make me fall behind, and then it will be really difficult to catch up.
3. I will show up on time for class. Not only can I fall behind by not showing up onetime for class, but it can also land me in a detention which I don't want.
4. Getting my work turned in on time is critical. It would make my grades drop and hurt my chances of getting farther in life.
5. Coming prepared to class will help me succeed in high school. Not having my books, binders, pens, or pencils will give me less ability to do my work.
